Fair Usage Policy

Home Fair Usage Policy

Fair Usage Policy (“FUP”) defines the fair and responsible usage of the Ria service. Ria want all of our customers to get the best plans at the lowest possible price. This Fair Usage Policy is designed to prevent fraudulent and abusive use Ria service by a small number of customers. FUP is applicable to all Ria customers irrespective of plan and features. Ria may choose to charge, halt, ignore or terminate the service of individual customer based on usage and charge and potential of customer if found violating FUP. In determining whether the usage made in any particular case is a fair Ria will use the following factors:

  • The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of an un-ethical, drugs, abuse and any other illegal activity.

  • The nature of usage as Ria is defined for non-call centre usage and only for regular call management only.

  • The use of the service against ria in any manner, directly or indirectly, which include reverse engineering, trade secret revealing and also design and feature copying by any other company or individual.

There are few strict limitations defined based on the usage trends of initial set of regular customers. Though these limitations will be reviewed time to time to understand change required.

  • For keeping it simple for its customer Ria consider to include the cost of call forwarding into the package. Hence Ria is defined for low and medium call traffic usage only. Ria allows call forwarding of upto 1000 minutes per channel per month as FUP. Customers having higher call forwarding minutes will be charged for additional line i.e. one extra line per upto 1000 additional minutes or would be charged Rs. 1 per minute as per decision from Ria.

  • Ria utilizes shared channels for all its customers. It aims to keep a significant amount of channels un-utilized to meet sudden short peak demands for individual customers. Ria hence allows upto 2000 calls (connected or not) per channel per month. Customers having higher calls will be charged for additional line i.e. one extra line per upto 2000 calls or would be charged 0.20 per minute as per decision from Ria.

  • Ria has also included the cost of SMS notification into its package hence allows upto 2000 SMS per channel per month. Additional SMS notification would be charged for Rs. 200 for upto 2000 SMS or 0.25 per SMS as per decision of ria.

  • Ria allows defining 2 digit extension numbers starting from 10. Three digit extension numbers can only be allowed by making custom per month changes in particular account from backend and hence be considered out of fair usage and would be charged additionally.

  • SMS notification to caller is not included in the regular Ria pack but can be availed additionally at Rs. 200 per channel per month. It allows upto 2000 SMS per channel. Additional SMS notification would be charged for Rs. 200 per month for upto 2000 SMS or 0.25 per SMS as per decision of ria.

  • Ria allows upto 10 users as web users as fair usage. Additionally it would charge Rs. 200 per web user per month.

  • Ria also provide incoming and outgoing FAX service to its customer in its package. It allows upto 200 incoming and outgoing FAX minute per minute. Additionally it will be charged Rs. 2 per minute.

  • Ria allows web access to its customer to access its data online. Ria limits up to 120 web access requests per account per hour under fair usage policy.

  • Ria allows API access to allow other application to access specific Ria data. Ria API allows upto 360 API request per hour under fair usage policy.

  • For all per month fair usage policy item defined above not more than 20% of the defined usage limit can be made in one single day and not more than 5% of the defined usage can be made in a single hour.

  • Ria offer multiple channels to its customers and hence the fair usage policy per account would be multiplied by number of channels for the fair usage policy of the account.

  • Ria allows API access to allow other application to access specific Ria data. Ria API allows upto 360 API request per hour under fair usage policy. Ria also support its client by offering professional recording for IVRS. Yearly twice and maximum of 10 lines is allowed in each time. Additionally clients will need to pay for the recording as per the charges for artist.

  • Ria offer 1 GB of media storage for the storage of voice recordings. In case of excess of files Ria will push the older files for archiving and will not be available for real-time web access. Clients can request for increase in the media storage space by paying Rs. 500 per GB per month. Clients can also request for older archived files at cost of Rs. 100 per file.

Ria keeps all the right to alter fair usage policy depending upon usage pattern and will update this on the website. The fair usage policy should be only interpreted with Ria but is not restricted to above clauses.
